Kilmarnock Women to kick-off SWPL Cup campaign

Three-time champions Kilmarnock are preparing to kick-off their ‘SWPL Cup’ campaign on Sunday, with Jim Chapman’s side set to face St Johnstone at Rugby Park in the opening round.

Winners in 2003, 2004 and 2006, Kilmarnock will create more club history this season as they enter the competition with players on professional contracts for the very first time.

Sunday’s opponents St Johnstone will provide a tough challenge for the home side, having started the season on an excellent run of form which has saw them maintain a 100% win record in the league.

Entry details

Kick-off at Rugby Park is at 2pm and supporters are encouraged to back the team as they bid for a place in the next round. Entry to the Moffat Stand will be accepted via donation to the club.

A message from the manager

“I hope that we can put on some good home performances and get more of the locals to come out and support the team. Getting the community behind us can hopefully give us a wee edge at home.”
