In the opening minutes of the game, Killie were attacking well and creating multiple chances. A well-worked goal from Skye Stout in the 12th minute gave Killie the lead after a superb start. An excellent clearance from Mooney in the 18th minute kept Killie ahead. In the 23rd minute, Crainie had a shot on target, but the St Johnstone goalkeeper made a firm save.

Killie were awarded a penalty in the 28th minute following a handball. Cara Gray scored from the penalty spot to double Killie’s lead. Stout had another chance on target in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper was there to deny her. After some good defending, Killie denied St Johnstone a route back into the game in the 38th minute.

A half-time substitution for Killie saw Skye Stout make way for Rachel Osborne.

McLaughlin opened the scoring in the second half after a Killie corner met the head of the captain, giving Killie their third goal. Crainie then added to Killie’s lead after an excellent cross from Gray, which she slotted into the bottom-right corner in the 51st minute.

In the 66th minute, Erin O’Brien was at the back post to slot the ball home and make it 5–0. Cara Gray added her second of the afternoon in the 70th minute to make it six. A powerful effort from Erin O’Brien almost added another, but the St Johnstone goalkeeper made the save.

A triple substitution for Killie in the 74th minute saw Lisa Kirwan, Skye McDonald and Lori Craig come on for Cara Gray, Erin O’Brien and Kelsy Crainie.

Some well-worked passing saw substitute Osborne score Killie’s seventh in the 80th minute. Killie’s final substitution of the afternoon saw Louise Cowan make way for Katie McDougall in the 84th minute.

Killie secured all three points with a dominant seven-goal display and a clean sheet to round off an excellent afternoon.
