The women have been in amazing league form, and they were looking to keep that momentum going coming into this game from the first whistle.
Killie dominated in the opening minutes and were awarded a penalty after Gray was brought down. Gray powerfully struck the ball from the spot and found the back of the net in the 1st minute.
After a brilliant cross into the box from Crainie, Erin O’Brien and Arwen O’Brien both had chances, but both efforts were blocked and cleared. In the 14th minute, Gray had another shot on target with a right-footed strike, but it went just wide.
Killie were trying hard to find their second goal, winning the ball back and creating multiple chances. Some well-worked set plays also saw us go close.
Gartcairn were awarded a penalty in the 54th minute and equalised from the spot a minute later.
After a superb cross into the box from Watt, Mooney had a chance in the 58th minute, but her effort was saved by the Gartcairn goalkeeper.
A double change for Killie in the 64th minute saw Eva McKean and Skye Stout come on for Fiona Cullie and Imogen Mooney. Another substitution followed in the 75th minute, with Louise Cowan making way for Skye McDonald.
Kerrigan made some powerful saves, keeping Killie in the game and denying Gartcairn the chance to build on their equaliser.
A powerful strike from Gray in the 83rd minute gave Killie another chance to regain the lead, but her effort went just wide of the goal. A late substitution for Killie then saw Rachel Osborne come on for Kelsy Crainie.
After a great run from Erin O’Brien down the left wing, Killie created another chance in the 89th minute as they continued to push for a late winner.
Despite the late pressure, neither side could find the decisive goal as the points were shared, with the game ending 1-1.
