March 27 2024 Kilmarnock Under 12’s to take on top clubs across UK
Kilmarnock’s girls academy will have a fantastic opportunity this week as an Under 12’s side heads down to Leicester to take on clubs from across the United Kingdom.
Our youngsters will be taking on Manchester United in the opening match of The Foxes Cup on Thursday 28th March, followed by matches against Hamilton, Leicester City and Norwich City.
Kilmarnock FC’s Women’s Football Development Manager, Jim Chapman, said: “We have an exciting squad and the Under 12’s age bracket, so it will be good to see how they compete against opposition of such a high calibre.
“We play a club like Manchester United first, that’s a fantastic opportunity to see the standard that we are at – it’s one that the girls will cherish for the rest of their career and that they will enjoy.
“Opportunities like this allow us to showcase our talent coming through, it’s a good feeling to be invited to a competition like this.”
