Kilmarnock 1-0 Livingston

Kilmarnock picked up their second win from two Premier Sports Cup matches with a 1-0 victory over Livingston.

A Mo Sylla own goal was the difference between the sides, and it ensured Killie’s 100 per cent start continued.

Livingston had an early chance as Sam Culbert whipped a cross into Stevie May, but the striker couldn’t get a boot on to it.

Max Stryjek kept out Stevie May in the 14th minute with a fine double save which went out for a corner.

Marcus Dackers did well on the wing as he sent Brad Lyons down the flank in the 17th minute, the captain then looked to find Djenairo Daniels with a cross but the striker couldn’t quite steer it on target.

Killie took the lead just after the half-hour mark thanks to a Mo Sylla own goal after a Liam Polworth cross.

Robbie Muirhead went close in the 40th minute as he fizzed a shot across goal, thankfully for Killie it was blocked past the post.

Livi looked set to score in the 69th minute but Stryjek pulled off a great point-blank save.

Ben Brannan looked to make it two goals from two games but his long-range shot in the 83rd minute went wide.

Marley Watkins found his way through on goal in the 90th minute, he fired a powerful shot away but it was well saved by Jerome Prior.
