Kilmarnock 0 St Mirren 1

BBSP Stadium Rugby Park was set for an important Scottish Premiership clash on an atrocious night as Kilmarnock welcomed St Mirren.

In the opening minutes of the game, St Mirren opened the scoring to make it 0-1 on the 3rd minute. After St Mirren’s goal, Killie looked for the equaliser, making some good passes and attacking well. Johnly Yfeko produced an impressive block to prevent St Mirren from scoring a second on the 13th minute.

Joe Hugill came close with a brilliant kick out from Max Stryjek but the ball landed in their goalkeeper’s handers. Killie were still in search for a goal.

Greg Kiltie was shown a yellow card on the 37th minute after a challenge on Carr. Killie were awarded a free kick after a foul on Tom Lowery on the 42nd minute.

Triple half-time sub for Killie saw Erik Ring, Tyreece John–Jules and Yfeko make way for Jamie Brandon, Djenairo Daniels and Aaron Tshibola.

Michael Schjønning-Larsen fired a shot from distance after cutting inside his man, but their goalkeeper firmly saved the shot on the 58th minute.

On the 65th minute Rory McKenzie came on for Mark O’Hara. Daniels had a shot on target on the 67th minute but it went over the goal and the referee called for offside. Killie were fighting hard to find the back of the net.

On the 78th minute, Killie’s final substitution of the night saw Lowery leave the pitch for Bailey Rice. He was then given a yellow card on the 82nd minute. Cathal McCarthy came just wide of getting the equaliser on the 90th minute. After Killie dominated the second half of the game, they fell just short of picking up all three points.
