Killie Kids on Loan: Kyle’s Diamond moment

Welcome to our Killie Loan Watch, rounding up how our young talents are getting on around the SPFL and around Scotland.

Kyle Connell found the net as Airdrieonians thrashed Tuesday’s Betfred Cup opponents Clyde 5-0 to move up to fourth in League One. Kyle was handed a starting spot for the second successive week and he made his mark with an 81st minute goal to round off a good day for the Diamonds.

Elsewhere in League One, Euan Deveney was on the bench as Falkirk drew 2-2 with Partick Thistle in Glasgow.

In the Championship, Innes Cameron appeared for the final 10 minutes of Ayr United’s 0-0 draw with Dunfermline Athletic. The striker replaced Bruce Anderson as Ayr remain fifth in the table while the Pars sit behind leaders Raith Rovers on goal difference.

Keir Russell was handed a starting spot as Spartans went down 3-1 to BSC Glasgow at Alloa’s Indordrill Stadium

Craig Ross was named Man of the Match as Kilwinning Rangers beat Darvel 1-0 away from home thanks to a goal from Jamie Whyte.

Josh Rennie started as Hurlford United fought back from a goal down to beat Rutherglen Glencairn 2-1 at home.
