KCST’s fresh well-being programme finishes

The Kilmarnock Community Sports Trust (KCST) partnered up with Precision Tooling and Shortlees Primary School to offer 20 children and 20 adults a well-being programme like no other, educating them on healthy eating practices and the importance of exercise.

The well-being programmes have been established to educate the participants in the importance of leading healthier lives and the benefits this brings.

It also ensures that the kids taking part are treated to a nice meal as well as enjoying fun activity at Rugby Park.

As the 12-week programme came to a close, the participants were rewarded with a trip to Wednesday's match against Motherwell. None of this would have been possible without the support of community sponsors Graham Ross and Allan Brese from Precision Tooling, who have already helped the club and the KCST in various endeavours.

Community Manager Paul Di Giacomo added: "It’s really great to see families come together, with a focus on improving their lives. Our health and well-being programmes are in place to educate people on best practices when it comes to eating more healthily and ensuring there is an even exercise balance in their lives.

"These programmes wouldn’t exist without the support from Graeme, Allan and Heather. So this combined with our coaches time is an investment well spent when you think of the greater gains there are for the community."

Graeme Ross and Allan Brese of Precision Tooling added: "We are absolutely delighted to support a programme like this.

"It’s great to see young kids getting the chance to come in and enjoy playing, as well as getting a decent meal too.

"Hopefully activity like this will inspire the next generation of supporters as its introducing some of the children to their first experiences with Killie."

Paul and the KCST would like to thank Precision Tooling, Shortlees Primary, Gordon Anthony and his team at The Park Hotel for all their support over the past 12 weeks and throughout the current season.
