KCST strengthen links in North Ayrshire

The Kilmarnock Community Sports Trust (KCST) has teamed up with KA Leisure to provide greater sport opportunities to schools in North Ayrshire, as the club looks to strengthen links across the region.

This new programme involves KCST and KA coaches working together, going into schools to promote fun football, health and well-being and improving their – ABC’s (Agility, Balance & Co-Ordination). Most importantly, coaches are helping youngsters achieve required national guidelines for physical activity and creating stronger links across all of Ayrshire.

In addition, KA have also donated another street soccer pitch to the club’s Moffat Stand Fan Zone as the matchday experience develops – whilst KCST provide free tickets to schools in North Ayrshire.

Community Support Officer Grant Moore says it’s vital that the KCST serve the whole of Ayrshire, and looks forward to welcoming more youngsters to their first Killie game soon.

“It is a great opportunity for the club to be active in North Ayrshire and Craig Hamilton has been vital in making this happen,” he told the club’s official website.

“We’re looking forward to helping hundreds of kids get physically active and  hopefully help create the next generation of Killie fans. This will definitely be the first of many initiatives with KA Leisure.”
