Hearts (H) – Match preview
Scottish Premiership – Matchday 30
Saturday 14th March – 8pm
BBSP Stadium Rugby Park
LAST TIME OUT: KILLIE
Kilmarnock lost out to Falkirk in their most recent Scottish Premiership outing.
The hosts made a quick start to the match, taking the lead inside the opening minute before adding further goals through Dylan Tait and Barney Stewart during the first half. Killie responded well before the break, with Greg Kiltie finding the net to give the visitors a boost heading into half-time.
Kilmarnock looked to build on that momentum after the interval, but Falkirk were able to add two further goals in the second half through Stewart and Tait to secure the points.
LAST TIME OUT: HEARTS
Heart of Midlothian strengthened their position at the top of the league with a 1–0 victory over Aberdeen at Tynecastle Park in their last outing.
Hearts made a bright start and created several early opportunities, with efforts from Blair Spittal, Tomás Magnusson and Cláudio Braga all going close as the hosts controlled much of the first half.
The breakthrough arrived around the half-hour mark when Braga finished from close range after good work down the right from Landy Kabore.
Hearts continued to press after the interval and threatened again through Spittal and Braga, but were unable to add to their lead. A disciplined defensive display in the closing stages ensured the Edinburgh side saw the match out to secure all three points.
