Findlay Curtis makes Scotland World Cup squad
Everyone at Kilmarnock Football Club is thrilled to learn that Findlay Curtis has been selected in Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad for the 2026 World Cup.
The 19-year-old has been named in the national team’s 26-man squad for the major finals in the United States, Mexico and Canada this summer. Scotland will face Haiti, Morocco and Brazil in Group C.
Fin earned his first Scotland call-up back in March thanks to his consistent exposure to first team football while on loan at Killie. He joined from Rangers towards the end of the winter transfer window.
Clarke brought the winger off the bench against Japan, as he made his international debut as a Kilmarnock player.
The attacker made no secret of his desire to play for his country at the tournament, and he set about the task of earning his place on the plane by finishing the season strongly as a key member of Neil McCann’s side.
As we secured our safety with six wins from nine games since March, Fin scored five goals in that time against Livingston, Dundee United and St Mirren. Four of those strikes came in the final four matches of the campaign, as we rounded off the season with some outstanding team performances post-split. He also contributed one assist during his 14 appearances for Ayrshire’s finest.
McCann said: “The staff, players and I are absolutely delighted with this hugely positive news. We all have an immense sense of pride in Fin earning his spot in Steve’s squad off the back of his time with us.
“He deserves this recognition for the levels he’s shown while on loan here. It’s also a feather in the cap of the football club, and highlights what we can do for players at Killie, no matter the stage of their development.
“Fin has been a breath of fresh air to work with, and we wish him nothing but the best with Scotland this summer.”
Massive congratulations to Fin from all at Kilmarnock FC for this fantastic achievement – we couldn’t be prouder!
