Duo selected for Scotland U17s Euro campaign

Kilmarnock duo Charlie McArthur and Bobby Wales have been selected for the Scotland squad for the UEFA European Championship.

The pair are part of Brian McLaughlin’s squad for the competition in Israel, which kicks off on May 17.

Defender Charlie, who was named Rising Academy Star at our club awards, has captained the age group through qualifying. The teenager made his first team debut for Killie this season and made his first league start in our season finale against Raith Rovers.

Attacker Bobby has been one of the leading players in our U18s team with his skill and eye for goal impressing coaches and fans alike.

Scotland are in Group D and face Portugal in their opening match (Tuesday, May 17) with kick off scheduled for 6pm.

The Scots will also face Denmark and Sweden in their remaining group matches.
