Bobby Wales Pens New Deal

Kilmarnock FC are delighted to announce that academy graduate Bobby Wales has committed his future to the club by signing a contract extension which will keep him at Rugby Park until June 2025.

The 18-year-old has progressed through the academy ranks since joining from local youth side Hurlford Boys’ Club in 2015, becoming a Scotland youth international along the way.

Alongside an impressive campaign which saw him net 25 times for the reserve and development squads, Bobby earned his full senior debut at Tynecastle last term. An eye-catching season also resulted in the young forward securing a SPFL Reserve Cup winners’ medal, in addition to scooping Kilmarnock’s Rising Academy Star award in 2022/23.

Speaking after putting pen to paper on the contract, Wales said: “I’m really happy to sign a new deal. Growing up as a fan and progressing from mascot to ball boy before having the privilege of playing for the club has meant a lot to me, so it was an easy decision to stay.

“The aim for this campaign is to continue showing the form I did last season by scoring goals at whatever level I’m asked to, while getting more minutes in and around the first-team.”
