Aberdeen (A) match preview

Scottish Premiership – Aberdeen (A) Matchday 34

Saturday, April 25th – 3pm.

Pittodrie Stadium, Aberdeen.

Last time out

ABERDEEN

Stephen Robinson tasted his first victory as Dons manager since leaving St Mirren last month.

Kevin Nisbet bagged a brace as Aberdeen got one over top six side Aberdeen in the north east.

The visitors played for an extensive period with 10 men after Grant Hanley was penalised for the denial of an obvious goalscoring opportunity, resulting in a red card.

KILMARNOCK

Neil McCann’s side were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Dundee last time out. Joe Hugill and Michael Schjønning-Larsen scored the goals for Killie, while Simon Murray and Scott Wright twice dragged the visitors back into the match.

While disappointed to let slip of the lead twice, the Ayrshire side could consider it a good point after the Dark Blues were awarded a penalty in dubious circumstances deep into stoppage time at the end of the game. Kelle Roos saved Joe Westley’s spot-kick after a lengthy VAR check.

Killie moved to within two points of rivals St Mirren with the draw. Killie are only five behind both Dundee and Aberdeen ahead of this weekend’s action.
