Meet the young guns – Noah Simpson
Noah Simpson spoke to the Killie Magazine back in April this year to kick-start our focus on profiling the Under-19s squad.
Position: Forward.
Age: 16.
Year signed for Killie: I joined the academy in 2023 and signed my first professional contract in 2025.
Previous clubs: W Academy.
Best memory in football: So far it must be either scoring at Ibrox or signing my first professional deal.
Biggest inspiration: My uncle, Anton Ferdinand. He played for many clubs down south, such as West Ham United, Sunderland and QPR. He also played for St Mirren in the last year of his career, and I remember going to watch him many times. I want to follow in his footsteps.
Football idol: Neymar. We play in similar positions and I love watching the way he plays.
Biggest ambition: Firstly, I want to make my professional debut. But I have dreams of playing in the Scottish Premiership for Killie and maybe even one day making it in the English Premier League.
Best mate in football: Cole Burke.
Biggest joker in the dressing room: Probably either Archie Traynor or Logan Foster.
Worst dress sense: This is an easy one. It’s Kali Fraser… terrible clobber!
Best advice you’ve ever received: Don’t take every opinion personally or work harder than anyone in the team.
