Joe Hugill was played clean through on goal by Tyreece John-Jules in the 92nd minute. The striker showed his electric pace to get away from Elgin’s defenders before providing a composed finish underneath the onrushing goalkeeper to secure all three points in the Highlands.

HAMILTON

Accies were held to a 1-1 stalemate with Raith Rovers in Lanarkshire at the weekend.

Darian MacKinnon’s side won the resultant penalty shootout 5-4 to claim the bonus point, which put them level with both Killie and Raith on five points in Group H of the competition.
