Killie secure Erik Ring transfer
Kilmarnock Football Club is delighted to announce the arrival of Erik Ring, subject to international clearance.
The 24-year-old joins the club on a two-year deal after an undisclosed fee was agreed with Lincoln City for the Swede.
The technically gifted winger, who is versatile enough to play off either flank or through central positions, is a product of the famous AIK academy in his homeland. Erik made his professional debut in September 2020 with the club winning 3-0 against Hammarby in the Allsvenskan.
In total, he made 66 first team appearances for AIK, with a successful loan spell at Helsingborgs IF too. In 2024, he moved to England to join Lincoln, and would eventually help them to the League One title last season, as they earned promotion to the Championship. With over 150 senior career games under his belt, he’s shown his attacking qualities with 17 goals and 14 assists.
His development through one of Scandinavia’s strongest footballing systems has established him as an exciting attacking player capable of making an immediate impact in the Scottish Premiership.
He is the addition during our summer recruitment drive, with the club already added Ieuan Owen, Calum Ferrie, Roshaun Mathurin, Bailey Rice and Mark O’Hara to Neil McCann’s squad.
Erik will wear the number 8 shirt for the season ahead.
