Kilmarnock secured a late point on the road with a 1-1 draw at Tannadice.
Chances were at a premium in the opening stages, Dundee United’s Kamara went close early but his effort from 10 yards smashed off the crossbar.
Dundee United were awarded a penalty just before the break as Brad Lyons was penalized, thankfully for Killie Kelle Roos saved the spot-kick well.
Roos pulled off a great save again just after the hour mark from a powerful Luca Stephenson shot.
Dundee United took the lead after 73 minutes as Amar Fatah curled a fine effort into the top corner to make it 1-0.
Bruce Anderson went close 10 minutes from time with a low shot, but it trickled narrowly wide.
Dom Thompson also went close in the 86th minute, a fizzed low shot from distance flew inches past the post.
Marley Watkins secured a late draw with a fine looping header in stoppage-time.
