Match Preview: Livingston (A)

William Hill Scottish Premiership – Matchday 22

Saturday 10th – January – 3:00pm | Set Fare Arena, Livingston

Last Time Out: Killie

Kilmarnock endured a difficult New Year outing at Rugby Park as they were beaten 3–1 by Hibernian. After falling behind early to an Elie Youan header, Killie showed resilience and drew level just before the hour mark when Tyreece John-Jules controlled and finished a Dom Thompson cross. However, Hibs regained the lead in the 71st minute through Youan’s second of the match, before Killie’s task became harder when David Watson was sent off late on. Further frustration followed as substitute Marley Watkins was forced off injured, and Hibernian sealed the result deep into stoppage time with a Jamie McGrath penalty.

Last Time Out: Livi

Livingston slipped to a narrow 1–0 defeat against league leaders Hearts at a freezing Tynecastle, despite producing a spirited and competitive display. Craig Halkett’s first-half header proved decisive after sustained Hearts pressure, but Livi created several promising chances of their own, particularly through Tete Yengi, Mo Sylla and Connor McLennan. Jerome Prior was outstanding in goal to keep the scoreline down, while the Lions pushed hard for an equaliser in the second half, including late pressure from a final corner, but ultimately lacked the cutting edge to turn performance into points.
