Killie were left frustrated as a clinical Motherwell side took their chances. Despite a bright start from Stuart Kettlewell’s team, the visitors went 2–0 ahead in the first half through two well-taken finishes from Tawanda Maswanhise. Killie came out strongly after the break and immediately pulled one back, with Scott Tiffoney timing his run perfectly to finish past Calum Ward. The hosts almost levelled soon after, but Paul McGinn cleared Dominic Thompson’s shot off the line before David Watson’s overhead attempt drifted wide. Motherwell later restored their cushion from the penalty spot through Apostolos Stamatelopoulos following a VAR review.

Dundee United fell to a frustrating defeat at Tannadice as a sharp Falkirk side took advantage of key moments. The visitors scored early when a rebound was finished after five minutes, before a near-post corner resulted in their second.United pushed to respond after the break, but Falkirk added a third when Brian Graham latched onto a ball over the top and finished calmly.
