Injury update: Robbie Deas set for spell on sidelines

Robbie Deas is set at least “a few weeks” out after a facial operation.

The centre back was injured during our 2-2 draw against Hibernian and after examination it was revealed he’d fractured his cheekbone.

On the injury, boss Derek McInnes said: “We got Robbie operated on quickly on Monday morning, but he will be out for the next few weeks unfortunately.

“There’s a chance to go and see the specialist two weeks from the surgery, from then they’ll make a suggestion on the best way forward.

“Some players are suited to wearing a mask which will help them get back a bit quicker, but he’ll certainly be non-contact for a few weeks.”

Corrie Ndaba will serve the first of his two matches of suspension against Motherwell, Kyle Magennis and Brad Lyons remain long-term absentees.

Will Dennis is working towards returning to the squad for the weekend.
