Killie Academy under 11s head to Newcastle

Our U11’s travelled to Newcastle today to take part in an additional game programme with Newcastle United, Manchester City and Sheffield United. A really great opportunity for the boys to experience what things are like south of the border.

Academy Graduate and former player, Charlie McArthur even managed along to support the youngsters and give them some words of encouragement before the match.

Speaking on the trip, our Head of Academy Paul Di Giacomo added:

“This really was a fantastic learning and development opportunity for our under 11’s to travel down here and play alongside boys from English clubs and see how the game operates south of the border.

The clubs were extremely welcoming and it’s great to see the boys come together and enjoy learning and playing together for the better of the game and their future careers. These experiences are things we want to introduce more of for all our academy age groups, as its great for their longer term development.”
